The Center was established by Dr. Hakon Hakonarson in 2006 with the primary goals of discovering and translating basic research findings into medical innovations. Since our founding, we have grown to become one of the world’s largest genetics research and analytical facilities. We are the lead center at a pediatric hospital to have access to state-of-the-art high-throughput genotyping technology and we are currently researching over 50 active disease projects, pioneering breakthroughs in ADHD, autism, cancer, diabetes, and schizophrenia. Since our founding, CAG’s workforce has grown from four to 87, including 25 Ph.D. and/or M.D. staff.
